Still life with vegetables.
I don't shop at that boutique over priced shee-shee grocery store owned by amazon, but sometimes i do walk through to look at their produce. Wow! Do they ever have pretty vegetables! I was on a kick to get my studio lights out and play with them again and not having a trove of models lined up at my door i decided to shoot still life images in my dining room. (An aside, fresh bok choy is a stunningly elegant plant and if i ever figure how to do its beauty justice i'll post a photo of one). I decided to shoot things that are dark, hence the dark reds and purples of the beets, and also the multicolored carrots i found. Not seen here, are the fancy cupcakes I grabbed at a nearby bakery, which i also shot right before we ate them. With coffee!
